What We Produce

We produce every type of political direct mail, built to spec or based on our recommendations depending on the campaign's needs, messaging goals, target audience, and budget.

Postcards are the workhorse of political mail. They're cost-effective, they don't need to be opened, and voters see the message immediately. We produce standard and oversized postcards for everything from candidate introductions to issue contrast pieces to GOTV reminders.

Oversized mailers command attention in a mailbox full of standard-sized pieces. When you need to make a visual impact or have a message that demands more space, oversized formats deliver.

Letters still work for certain audiences and certain messages. A personal letter from a candidate, a fundraising appeal, or a detailed policy position can be more effective in letter format than on a postcard. We produce letters with custom envelopes and inserts when the message calls for it.

Multi-panel foldouts and self-mailers give you room to tell a more complete story. Candidate comparison pieces, issue deep-dives, and voter guides all benefit from the additional real estate. We design these so the exterior panel earns the open and the interior delivers the full message.

Door hangers are a proven GOTV tool, especially for local and down-ballot races where canvassing is a primary voter contact method. We design door hangers that reinforce the message your volunteers deliver on the doorstep.

Posters and print collateral round out the toolkit. Event materials, rally signs, brochures, and anything else a campaign needs in print.

We produce mail at any volume. A run of 1,000 for a small local race or hundreds of thousands for a statewide program. Our print and mail partners handle capacity at any scale, and we can move on tight turnarounds when the campaign demands it.

How the Process Works

We orchestrate every step. You don't need to manage a designer, a printer, a mail house, and a list vendor separately. We handle all of it under one roof and keep your team informed throughout.

Design. Every mail piece starts with a designer assigned to your campaign. Our design partners are experienced political graphic designers who understand what lands with voters and what gets thrown away. They work with you on messaging, layout, and format to produce pieces that stand out in the mailbox and communicate clearly. We can turn around designs quickly, especially in high-pressure moments when timing matters.

Print coordination and proofing. We manage the entire print production process with our vendor network. You review proofs before anything goes to press. We handle paper stock selection, color matching, and quality control so the final piece matches what was approved.

List development and targeting. This is where direct mail becomes a precision tool, not a shotgun. We develop targeted voter mailing lists based on criteria specific to your campaign. This can include party registration, vote history, turnout propensity, age, geography, precinct-level data, polling insights, or internal campaign intelligence. We can procure lists from voter file systems including our own tools, or work with lists the campaign provides. We also support Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) through USPS for campaigns that want to reach entire routes, ZIP codes, or neighborhoods without purchasing individual address lists.

Mail house and USPS logistics. We work with our mail house partners to handle sorting, tabbing, addressing, and postal optimization. We manage all USPS compliance requirements, including political mail regulations, nonprofit postal rates for qualifying organizations, and all the paperwork that goes with it. You get delivery confirmation so you know when your mail hits mailboxes.

Tracking and coordination. We provide updates through the entire process so your team knows where things stand at every stage: design, print, mail house, and delivery. No black boxes.

Why Direct Mail Belongs in Your Media Plan

Direct mail does something no digital channel can guarantee: it physically arrives at a voter's address. There is no algorithm deciding whether to show it. There is no ad auction. There is no viewability question. It shows up.

The research backs this up. A post-2024 study found that 68% of voters felt less overwhelmed by direct mail compared to other political ads, and voters who receive direct mail are 59% more likely to search online for the candidate or issue afterward. That means a well-timed mail drop doesn't just reach voters on its own. It amplifies everything else you're doing digitally.

This is why we push to include direct mail in broader media strategies whenever possible. When we manage a campaign's full media plan across digital, streaming, television, and mail, we can time mail drops to coordinate with digital ad flights and TV buys. A voter sees your streaming ad on Tuesday, gets your mail piece on Wednesday, and sees your Facebook ad on Thursday. That kind of multi-channel reinforcement is what moves voters in competitive races.

Direct mail also sidesteps the targeting restrictions that platforms like Meta and Google have placed on political advertising. There are no special ad categories, no limited targeting options, no platform approval processes. You build your list, you design your piece, and you mail it. The targeting is as granular as your voter data allows.

Drops, Timing, and Strategy

We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all mail program. The number of drops, the timing, and the format all depend on the race, the district, the budget, and the overall campaign strategy.

For campaigns with smaller budgets, a single well-timed mail drop can supplement a digital plan and put a physical touchpoint in voters' hands at a critical moment. For campaigns with resources for a full mail program, we build multi-drop sequences that introduce the candidate, develop the message, draw contrasts, and close with a GOTV push.

We scope budgets and pricing based on the specific factors of your race: district size, target universe, number of drops, format, and print volume. Our longtime vendor relationships give us known pricing that we can build reliable estimates around. And because we manage the entire process, we find efficiencies that campaigns coordinating between multiple vendors typically miss.

Finding Efficiencies Across Channels

This is where having direct mail under the same roof as your digital, streaming, and TV buying really pays off.

When we can see the full media plan, we make smarter decisions about where mail fits. If the digital plan is efficiently reaching younger voters but underdelivering to older demographics, a targeted mail drop fills that gap at a known cost. If the TV buy is building broad awareness but the campaign needs a last-mile persuasion touchpoint in a specific set of precincts, mail does that.

The reverse works too. If a campaign's resources are limited, we can build a lean digital plan and use mail strategically for the highest-impact moments: a candidate introduction piece early, a contrast piece in the final weeks, and a GOTV reminder before Election Day.

This integrated approach is where we see mail deliver outsized value. It's not just another line item. It's a channel that reinforces and is reinforced by everything else in the media plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can you turn around a mail piece?
It depends on volume and complexity. For a standard postcard run, we can go from approved design to mailboxes in under a week. For larger programs or more complex formats, we typically need two to three weeks. In urgent situations, we've compressed timelines significantly with our vendor partners.
Can you help develop our mailing list, or do we need to bring our own?
Both. We can develop targeted voter lists based on your campaign's criteria using voter file data, or we can work with lists you provide. We can also help refine an existing list to improve targeting and reduce waste.
How many mail drops do you recommend for a campaign?
It depends on the race, the budget, and the overall strategy. Some campaigns benefit from a single high-impact drop timed to a critical moment. Others need a full multi-drop program spanning several weeks. We'll recommend a plan based on your specific situation and budget.
Do you handle USPS compliance and nonprofit postal rates?
Yes. We manage all USPS political mail compliance, nonprofit postal rate qualification for eligible organizations, and all associated logistics. The campaign doesn't need to navigate postal regulations.
What's the minimum order for a mail program?
We can handle runs as small as 1,000 pieces for hyperlocal races. There's no minimum that prices you out of working with us. The approach scales to fit the campaign.
Do you design the mail pieces or do we need to bring creative?
We manage the full design process with our network of experienced political graphic designers. They're integrated into the project from the start and work with your campaign on messaging and visual direction. You approve designs before anything goes to print.
